For some reason, occasionally when I open a new post in![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
ljcharm (spawning vim), it will begin not with an empty document, but with a variable number of lines of seemingly random stuff from my mailbox. This is odd and vaguely disturbing behavior, which I mention because it just inserted some material again that, while dull enough, I wouldn't particularly want to post publicly. Grrr. I don't see any mention of a similar known bug, but since 1.4.0 is apparently available, upgrading wouldn't be a bad idea anyway.
