Feb. 11th, 2009 05:18 pmDid have some lamb's liver last night, with colcannon and some bratwurst for Ingvar. It was still magically delicious as a snack this afternoon. (You will just have to imagine the awful leprechaun with a plate of sliced liver Photoshopped in, since I'm too tired to do that. *g*) I don't think I'd eaten lamb's liver before, but it reminded me a little of deer's. Not too surprising, given the similar overall tasty gaminess.
Today I'm not quite as worn out, but I caught up on some sleep. Fell asleep reading by midnight, turned off the lights and made sure the back door was locked at 4 a.m., woke up after noon today. That was a little surprising, but I must have needed it!
Tonight we're having some vaguely Korean pork patties (based on leftover seasoned meat mixture) with "odds and ends of veg" vaguely Korean-seasoned pasta. Yeah, the food has been pretty simple lately, but at least it's fairly nutritionally balanced. :) I pretty much decided several years ago that, even if I'm not up to doing much else that day, at least I can usually turn out a decent supper, and possibly clean clothes. It mostly does seem to work. Thus all the mentions of cooking, trying to motivate myself. :)
I did turn out something on how distressingly well divide and conquer tactics seem to work--prompted by, of all things, the recent hullabaloo over Miley Cyrus.
