I recently got back from Pets At Home, on the basis that it was likely to have a better selection than the closer and smaller pet shop. Now I'm beat from the slightly-over-a-mile hike back, lugging a cat carrier with cat litter and a bag of aquarium gravel in it. :) It seemed easier than figuring out the appropriate bus home.
This morning I was hit hard by cat acquision urges, now that we know Bungee shouldn't be coming over. In short order, I found two tortoiseshell sisters about nine weeks old advertised. We'd talked about adopting a couple of kittens, and I love torties, so it seemed a great opportunity. After consulting with
vatine (and the lady with the kittens), we're supposed to go look at them--and almost certainly bring them home--Saturday. :)
It looked like we might be getting them this evening instead, so I made a run out for assorted cat paraphernalia. And a calico goldfish I couldn't resist, which now lives in the bedroom.
Yay for animals!
