vatine beat me to announcing, all and sundry are welcome to join us at the Penderel's Oak on High Holborn (map), this Friday the 20th from about 8 p.m. on. Not that an occasion is necessary for this sort of thing, but I will be heading home the next day, which happens to be my birthday. Another excuse Ingvar didn't mention is that the semi-cunning plan just to let people notice our engagement rings hasn't worked particularly well. *sniff*
