Another recipe

Last night, I was trying to figure out what to cook with what was on hand, and remembered that my ex never did fix me his specialty, plov. (Actually, after seeing his culinary leanings when left to himself, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he served it with canned baked beans--he actually rounded out a package of frozen moussaka with a can of them when I was visiting, fully living up to a bad English stereotype.) I just thought of why it occurred to me to look up recipes and try it myself; he mentioned having cooked it (again) yesterday on IRC. My hybrid version may not bear a lot of resemblance to his mother's, but it turned out quite tasty (except to my dad, who could even detect a quantity of cumin I didn't notice in the dish.)
