Cops at the door again, oh my
Apr. 8th, 2010 05:29 pmI just got startled again. It took me a while to get to the door, and saw a cop heading back down the walk with some other guy I think was New Upstairs Neighbor. Not what I wanted to see.
It turned out better than I was afraid it would. The car (Dog Section?!) was still sitting out there, so I went up to it. The response: "That's OK, it's been taken care of."
I thought maybe that was animal control, and the guy had been complaining about something to do with Max (not that he's done anything obvious), but apparently not.
The last time there were police at the door, they were asking about the suddenly decamping former upstairs neighbors. So maybe it was something to do with them again.
What "it" is, I still have no idea. Can't say I wanted to inquire much further. But I'm glad "it's" apparently not a problem. *scratches head*
Oh yeah, I may have mentioned it before, but I'm still even wary of the Metropolitan Police, unlikely as they are to come within a hair of shooting me.* None of their officers have even hassled me. I still just about had a heart attack again.
______
Edit: * I did get pulled over, no excuse given, and almost shot once, by someone unstable enough to have lost his job not long after. Besides the other hassling when I was younger--and minding my own business--I do have reason to be wary.
