I got a couple more blog posts up today. With seriously limited spoons right now--almost out of purple sporks, even--I've mostly been able to pay attention to Twitter (about my speed, when it comes to concentration!) and that blog lately.

Again, it's not from lack of interest, just energy. With any luck, I can finally see the GP soon, and try to get this straightened out.

Interesting articles both. As for the 'looking after myself' I took stock of the things I want to do with my life, and the things that are stopping me. Many factors I can't do anything about, others are long-term projects - but reminding myself to drink, cooking healthy food, and exercising at least a little *are* under my control. I do not always succeed, but I always try. And I feel much better for it.

The identify thing is very interesting. I identify as a 'me' and it took me time to realise that not everybody feels the same. Western philosophy knows the concept of male body/female soul (and vice versa) which should give you a balanced human being. Whether you call it left brain/right brain or ying/yang, almost every philosophy stresses the importance of balance.

Good point about taking stock, and planning based on it. I'm trying to get out of some not-so-great patterns enough to do that more. Glad you've come up with a system that works pretty well for you.

Another "me", then. :) I was also interested in seeing how many other people who identify that way would respond.

With the balance thing, I was mostly following a train of thought--and may add a disclaimer to that effect. :) How one approaches it may be a little different, but it's definitely a common theme in an awful lot of philosophical approaches.
