May. 8th, 2009 09:50 amThis morning started off comically badly. Waking up two hours early with vicious cramps, I swung my feet out of bed--straight into cat poop. Yes, with both feet. Heading into the drafty, chilly kitchen, the milk had gone blinky overnight, so a stroll to the newsagent was in order before coffee. In a cold drizzle, of course.
On the upside, Max got an unanticipated stroll down the street. I'm now toasty warm, with the aid of a flannel shirt and fleecy trousers--plus body temperature up so that about 50F/10C out there doesn't feel frigid. Punkin is no longer constipated, just leaving quite a lot to be desired in her personal habits. And there is plenty of ibuprofen waiting, after I've gotten some food in.
At least there's plenty of time before I have to bus it to Ilford for another PT appointment. I can wake up properly, and Max can get a proper walk in a while. More coffee may be required in the meantime.
The PT has obviously been doing some good. There's less of it, and it's shifted somewhat. Getting it reduced in some other muscles has made the piriformis and hip adductor stuff stand out more. That's been pretty sharp, but improving overall. I think it's more difficult to deal with, now that I know I don't just have to put up with it over the long haul! I feel a little silly, arranging half my week around PT, but needs must. I've certainly been having to spend a scary amount of time accommodating hip and back pain. So, things are looking up there.
