This seemed oddly appealing, if only to see if my memory is as bad as I suspect. *g*
Note: Spelling and grammatical errors are not my own. Well, unless they're obviously in one of my responses. :)
First Bike: I don't remember much about it, except it was small and green and had training wheels. I'm surprised now that I didn't kill myself, repeatedly trying to ride it down the steep grassy hill behind our house.
First Best Friend: Craig Hickman, the grandson of the people who lived next door. He spent a lot of time over there.
First Memory: Trying to pack my grandmother's cat Samantha in a shoebox "bed" lined with tissues and cover her with more tissues for a blanket. I was probably two.
First Date: It seemed to count at the time, so I suppose it does. Going to this guy Andy's house to watch videos--more an ambush than a date, really--and then going to hang out with some mutual friends, in Oct. 1992.
First Real Date: I went to the Prom--and the lame organised after-prom thing--with Joe Warden in May '93. It's odd; we had a pretty good mutual attraction going, but never went out before or after that.
First Kiss: In any romantic sense, October 1992.
First french kiss: See above.
First Break-up: The first really hurtful one was in December 2002 (I was a bit late in really falling in love.)
First Job: House/pet-sitting (kept me in pocket money through high school). First job on the books: either seasonal work at Hickory Farms, trying to sell their horrible cheeseballs and beefsticks (I will throttle the next person who utters a "witty" beefstick innuendo within my hearing); or pimping various products at innocent passers-by in supermarkets. Yes, I frequently got paid US$8.50/hr to annoy people by thrusting bits of, say, questionable-looking frozen eggrolls at them. *shudder*
First Self-Purchased Album: May well have been Billy Idol's Whiplash Smile *cringe*
First Concert: The Beach Boys, 1982, Blacksburg, Virginia. First I actually chose to attend (I *was* 14 at the time): Metallica, 1989, Roanoke, Virginia.
First Funeral: My great-uncle, 1981 or 1982.
First Pet: Calico, a goldfish. More interactive: Dandy, an English setter my grandfather "surprised" us with from one of his litters.
First Piercing/Tattoo: Ear lobes, 4 years old (after wearing my parents down; afterward, the jewelry store instituted a "no under 6 years old" policy). Ear cartilege, 18. Tattoo, 25.
First Independent Home: Closest I've come so far is a university residence hall, which isn't very close at all. :/ At least there are mitigating circumstances.
First Credit Card: Providian Visa with particularly extortionate interest rate (1996?)
First Independent Holiday: As in paid for it: Myrtle Beach, October 2000 (I'd never been there, and it's just so tacky one *must* go at some point); As in both paid and travelled by myself: London, December 2002
First Love: Someone I'd rather not think about, thank you. I was 27--rather a late bloomer in that department.
First Enemy: I will quote
eydimork here: "Annika Göransson, grades 4-6. She was a total bitch and tried to control everyone. I wouldn't have it." Change the name to Jamie Lee and the grades to 1-9, and there you have it. It would have included 10th grade (before I transferred, by choice), but Jamie moved; I felt just a little bad for enjoying the certainty of how well her shenanigans and contempt of all things/people local would go over with her new schoolmates in Bluefield. (Cue maniacal laughter)
Last Good Cry: At least a couple of weeks ago--but I do have trouble letting go.
Last Movie Seen: The Dead Pool (for about the third time too many, but there was nothing else on)
Last Book Read: re-read Tim Powers' The Anubis Gates
Last Cuss Word Uttered: Probably "damned"
Last Beverage Drank: Iced tea
Last Food Consumed: Pizza (nobody felt like cooking)
Last Crush: Hmm...Kevin F., ca. 1995? That didn't last too long, after I saw too much of the Inner Kevin...ewww.
Last Phone Call: At Mom's request, I called my dad while he was at the store and asked him to pick up some extra items. Thrilling stuff.
Last TV Show Watched: About five minutes of some show on Animal Planet where people were using Great Danes as service dogs for people with fibromyalgia. A couple of episodes of Law and Order on TNT yesterday while I was doing something else.
Last Time Showered: This afternoon
Last Shoes Worn: My knock-around-the-house sandals
Last C.D. Played: Richard Hell and the Voidoids' Blank Generation
Last Item Bought: Some vegetables and particularly yummy Kashkaval cheese
Last Thing Downloaded: zlib (am idly building a Linux From Scratch system)
Last Annoyance: Having to move heavy bags of groceries, including 20 lbs. of potatoes, from where my dad had dumped them on the living room couch, so that I could sit down. Yet again. With my back acting up today.
Last Disappointment: Having trouble saying things I wanted to say out of shyness (disappointment in myself, really, but it cuts deeper).
Last Thing Written: E-mail message to a friend. On the more literary side, some poetry so terrible the HDD should have crashed when I tried to save it.
Last Key Used: Backspace
Last Words Spoken: "More pizza, B.B.?", to the dog
Last Sleep: Involuntary nap this afternoon (damned meds)
Last Instant Message To: Ptenbob, I think...maybe to this guy Jason I hadn't heard from in years.
Last Weird Encounter: A random old lady in the grocery store starting talking to me as if she knew me. I should be accustomed to this by now, though. She may well have been my grandmother's third cousin or something, for that matter. Getting a message out of the blue from Jason, as mentioned above, might also count; we just seem to run into each other too frequently for people who have never really been friends and under strange circumstances.
Last Time Amused: Within the past ten minutes, at least.
Last Ice Cream Eaten: Cherry chocolate chip stuff...so now I want ice cream!
Last Time Hugged: If hugging the dog counts, about five minutes ago. If not, about two hours ago. But I really want to hug I., and haven't gotten to in almost two weeks now. :/
Last Lipstick Used: Posner High Kickin' Wine
Last Underwear Worn: Basic black cotton Hanes (and just why am I answering these questions?)
Last Bra Worn: Comfy black jobbie.
Last Shirt Worn: Teal t-shirt with a raven triskele design.
Last Time Dancing: This afternoon, holding one of the cats. She was not amused.
