A decent speech I ran across from Sen. Zell Miller of Georgia. He went a bit heavy on the whiteness and especially isolationism for my taste, not to mention ignoring the number of early Jacobite and other non-Protestant settlers, particularly starting from colonies like Virginia where they were extremely unwelcome farther east; otherwise, I won't complain too much. :) Piddly stuff aside, it's not bad to have come from a politician, and worthwhile for the subject quote--a point which bears repeating.

Here's more on the proposed show, from some rather justifiably cranky people in Kentucky. This was the first I'd heard of it, and the premise was amazing, even by "reality TV" standards.
