Aug. 26th, 2005 03:37 pmTalk about bold! I was just leaning out the back sliding door, having a smoke, when one of the neighborhood foxes trotted over to a trash bag not three feet away, against the side of the house, and started ripping into it. It did slink off into the neighbors' garden when I suggested it stop that, but it really did not seem concerned about me--even looked like it was considering nipping into the house past me, just for a moment, before tearing into the bag. Too bad I moved the digital camera from beside the door; by the time I'd fetched it from another room, the fox had disappeared. It may have provided some amusement for a neighbor or two, though--I'd just gotten out of the shower, and hadn't yet put on my jeans when I felt compelled to dash out onto the patio with the camera. :)
I think it was a different fox this time; this one had a mangier-looking tail than the one I've been seeing doing its wee-hours rounds of the main road out front. Yet another reason not to leave the door cracked as a cat passage when I pop across the street to Iceland...
