A delivery came a bit early from Tesco. Having things brought to the door still feels a bit lazy, but it does have some advantages over peering at maps and trying to work out how best to get to a store on the bus in the rain, particularly for the directionally challenged. :)

When I started unpacking the stuff, I initially thought that they had gone absolutely crazy with the substitutions. It quickly looked more like I'd gotten a bag of someone else's groceries, including a container of fake double cream, a burst-open bag of rice, a large block of cheese, and a couple of types of cheese spread. Naturally, the delivery guy was well-gone by the time I discovered this. I had to e-mail them, though I don't want the delivery guy to get into trouble over something obviously accidental, because I don't feel right about just silently keeping the food I didn't pay for. They may not do anything, but it made me feel better about it--strange the way these things work. :)

On the "actual substitutions" front, a package of chicken thighs and a thing of sandwich ham seem just a little odd as equivalents for a couple of packs of pork mince on special. That approach may help keep things interesting, at least. There shouldn't be a shortage of chicken around here for a while, since I picked some up on special at Sainsbury's yesterday too. *g* Arroz con pollo is looking better all the time.
