Our dishwasher isn't so good at handling the caked-on stuff, or the crock would go straight in there after it's empty! Lots of pots and pans, actually. I keep putting off cleaning it out, until it's horrible.

Good point with the edge width! I tend to overfill things too. Luckily, this one will run down the outside.
