The kitties embarrassed me into employing the new mop and bucket this afternoon. I picked up a largish bottle of vinegar (one of the friendlier options), but only noticed after I'd tipped some into hot water and gotten a whiff that it's not only white vinegar for pickling, it's already spiced. The kitchen now smells like someone had an accident with a jar of pickles, but is more hygienic, at least.

The kitties are about as precious as one would expect of six-week-old fuzzballs, still with kitten-blue eyes. They're napping in here behind the office door at the moment. The poor things don't have proper names yet, but this should be remedied soon. I hope I got enough of the kitty wormer down them this morning, on general principles, to do some good.

Yesterday I finally got weary of my little break from hair dye, and stopped by Sally's. Rachel playing amateur hairdresser again--be very afraid. The Wella Color Touch Intense Damson doesn't look bad at all, though it's just not Color Charm Black Cherry. :) It seemed a bit odd that there wasn't any liquid color in the shop (which would include most of the Color Charm line), but I do tend to find these little differences interesting.

I'm about to go and turn out some tabouleh-alike with brown rice, since I couldn't be bothered to run out for bulgur earlier. With any luck, the results will be better than the strangely runny cheese grits last night. Ah well, these things do happen (if with distressing frequency).

Coming soon: some less boring content. ;)
